DT members image release hop

OK so here we go

It is a wonderful time at Smeared Ink, we have a new digital set that is releasing today. Fun Fun Fun! Hop around the Smeared Ink Design Team's blogs to view all of the new images and get great inspiration from our lovely team. The roll is on my sidebar, enjoy.

The new set is called "Loved Alone" and I have made three samples using four of the new images.

First: we have a tag that was made using Love Alone 3 and Octopus Sorrow.
The background is an old druggist apothecary prescription sheet
Lost of different coloring implements but my favorite is the white paint pen used to texture the wings
Evil love

Now for the juicy deets. The sorrow felt by this teary eyed octopus is for his one true love that can never be. They live two separate lives and don't even exist on the same planes.

Our fair angel has found her way to earth and has become entangled in quite a sucky situation. This devil of a sea creature has wrapped her up knowing she can never stay. She must return to heaven lest she officially becomes fallen.

Second: we have a journal page I was inspired to make using the Love Alone 4 image. This is my first venture using gesso and it was fun. I used TH distress inks to add some color to the textures. And the juicy deets for this one I think are clearly spelled out in the sentiment .

Third: we have a card that tickled my creative fancy when I saw the Love Alone Octopus image. I think that this image is what my minds eye pictures as the perfect octopus. Yes my brain has an ideal that all other octopi fall short of, I know I know I need help. Or just Smeared and Smudged!

tons of little things went into this card. Embossing the card using a pocket watch design, safety pins, cogs, foil embossed with cogs, chalk ink pad to bring out the embossing of the card, silver and gold paint pens, and embellies everywhere.

Queen of fussy cutting strikes again!

Thank you for joining me and all of the other members of our new SI design team!

I am also entering this card in SanDee & amelie's Steampunk Challenge
