Day 25 31 days 2014

Ok so here we go

So I knew going into this that there were going to be some not very happy people with this one. Even greatly offended. But I am extremely devout in my Christian faith, and to me this is not sacrilege this is a tribute to grace and forgiveness. Not to mention a nod to the fact that it was the church who took this pagan ritual and normalized it into the holiday we all know and love.

I also have a few cards to share

  5. Stand and believe! We should all be tolerant of others and the way they choose to express themselves, as long as it does not harm others.
This is perhaps the first time I have heard Halloween called normalized. LOL
    Nice artwork today.

  10. Love the cards! Thanks for explaining the first project, the cross is a symbol of faith, and I don't think that the way you altered it is disrespectful, it is a truly beautiful expression of art.

  11. Amazing card and nice post. I am spiritual also. I don't do organized religion anymore though, but my faith in our creator and the sacrifices he made remains strong after a bright beginning from my mother and father.
